THE PENTRICH REVOLUTIONARIES OF 1817

The following is a list of the all the revolutionary men. In the first section it lists all those who were sentenced. In the second section it lists all the other men who actually marched on the evening of 9th June 1817; even those who were forced. The list has been compiled using various sources; some records do give conflicting answers, in which case the sources are noted. There are 160 individuals & it should be noted that not all are mentioned in the depositions. Source ref. given in orange.

Note that sources 8 & 9 seem to list all men as being labourers rather than specifying their actual job description. Technically, yes they were all labourers but if another source has given a different job description� I would believe that one instead.

PLEASE NOTE that I have had some difficulty attaching the correct information to some people, due to the fact there are individuals with identical names. The evidence makes it very hard to differentiate between these individuals. The two Robert Turners have proven to be the most problematic. I would not like to guarantee that I have attached the correct details to the appropriate Robert because almost every source has recorded different information.
