7th June 1817, Saturday - The Nottingham Man �Jeremiah Brandreth� slept at his house. [Armon Booth]

On Monday night, 9th June about 10 o�clock he met with Isaac Cartledge in Swanwick & enticed him to join the insurgents & proceed to William Marriotts of the Wire Mill in South Wingfield. [Isaac Cartledge]
He headed a party at the reservoir head in Butterley with a pike & compelled people to join them at Butterley. [C.Walters]

And was very active there & threatened to shoot a man for endeavoring to make his escape. [I.Wilkinson]
He was very active at Codnor & beyond Eastwood, he presented his gun at a man who was making his escape & threatened to shoot the man if he did not stop, & actually struck the cock of his gun, but being wet it did not go off. [Thomas Jennings]

George ARGILL of Hartshay township of Ripley -10th June - Samuel Hunt, Manchester Turner & several other insurgents were at his house about 3 o�clock Tuesday morning, and demanded arms & his gun was delivered up to them & his servant Charles Walters (who had concealed himself in a large bacon chest in his masters cheese room) was compelled to go with the gang.
