Edward TURNER of South Wingfield: Stonemason

Was making pikes a little before the 5th meeting held at Asherfield Barn as his brother William Informed A. Booth [A. Booth]

Was with the mob at Mr. Wheatcroft�s of Brick Lane Hollow near Heage armed with a gun. [Samuel Levers] [W. Wheatcroft]

When at Butterley he forced John Frost to get up and join them and threatened to blow his brains out if he did not get along. [C. Walters]

James TURNER of Pentrich Lane End

Was with the mob. [H. Hole]

Joseph TURNER of Wingfield

On Monday night about 9 o�clock June 9th, told Thomas Turner, John Walker & Samuel Ludlam that they must go to the Upper Barn near Wingfield Park head, where they would find many other men. [J. Turner]

Went to Richard Bromley�s between 8 & 9 o�clock on Monday evening and threatened him if he did not go and join the mob. [R. Bromley]

Joseph TURNER (alias Manchester TURNER) of Manchester

Was with the mob  is a one eyed man. Carried a spear, was very active and went into several houses to call the people out. [H. Hole] [I. Ludlam Jnr.] [J. Wilkinson]

At Mr. Fletchers, of the Mill and had a sword. [J. Wilkinson]

Was at Me Elijah Hall�s of South Wingfield Park & had a sword. [E. Hall]

Was at Mr Wheatcrofts of Buckland Hollow in the parish of Heage, about 1 o�clock on Tuesday morning June 10th, was called Captain & carried a sword. [Samuel Levers] [Wm Wheatcroft]

At Hartshay about 3 o�clock on the Tuesday morning  armed with a sword & said to Roger Wragg of Hartshay, collier (on his refusing to receive arms from them) �You must have arms and if you will not take arms, Damn you I will cut your head off�. And on Wraggs attempting to run away he said �Damn your Blood I will run you through, we have shot one man and if you attempt to run away I will stab you�. [Roger Wragg] [John Bonsall] [W. Cope]

At Mr George Argiles� of Hartshay found his servant Charles Walters concealed in a chest and forced him to go. [Charles Walters]

Was among the mob at Ripley (about 100) about 4 o�clock on the morning of Tuesday June 10th and had a sword. [Edward Moore]

Robert TURNER of Pentrich Lane

Was with the mob. [H. Hole]

Was with it at Mr. Fletchers of Pentrich Mill and had a pike. [Joseph Wilkinson]

Was at Mr. Hepworths. [R. Bromley]

Robert TURNER of South Wingfield: FWK

Was with the mob at Mr Elijah Halls. [E.Hall]

Samuel TURNER of Wingfield

William Turner of South Wingfield by the Nottingham Mans direction on Monday night June 9th fetched 3 guns from his house where he (William Turner) had taken them a short before to clean. [W. Turner]

Was with the mob at Pentrich Lane End on Monday night. [James Hill]

Thomas TURNER of South Wingfield: FWK

Was at Mr. Hall�s of South Wingfield about 11 o�clock on Monday night June 9th. [Elijah Hall]

Was with the Captain and the mob at Eastwood. [H. Hole]

William TURNER of Pentrich Land End

Was with the mob and carried a pike and took an active part. [H. Hole] [Thomas Hardy]

William TURNER of South Wingfield: Stone Mason

Was appointed secret committee man with Coupe for Wingfield. [A. Booth] [J. Coupe]

Was at the 5th meeting at Asherfield barn about 31st May. [A. Booth]

Told A. Booth a little time before the 5th meeting that his brother Edward Turner of Wingfield was making Pikes and told Isaac Ludlam Jnr. He had been casting bullets & desired he would cast some. [Isaac Ludlam Jnr.]

A. Booth, at the request of Chas Booth & James Weightman, asked him for and received from him a pike head which was delivered to C. Booth as a pattern to make others by. [A. Booth]

Told A. Booth that his brother Edward made pikes 4 squared, and spear like, and had made about 30 or 40. [A. Booth]

A. Booth also heard him say that he & the one eyed man called Manchester, made bullets and that they had made 300. [A. Booth]

Was at the meeting at the White Horse, Pentrich on Sunday June 8th. [A. Booth]

Was loading a gun in the field where several of the party were to assemble on Monday evening & appeared with others to have the command of the party there. [T. Turner] [Jos. Turner] [Isaac Ludlam Jnr.]

He and the Nottingham man went into several houses in Pentrich and brought both men and arms out. [T. Turner] [W. Booth]

About 3 or 4 O�clock in the afternoon of Monday, James Hill came to his house and they went together to John Bacons to learn something about the revolution. [James Hill]

Was at Pentrich Lane End after the murder and had a gun. [J. Hill] [J. Wilkinson]

Told James Hill, when the mob who had been at Mr Hepworths came up to the party at Pentrich Lane End, that a man had been shot at Mr Hepworths by the Nottingham man. [James Hill]

He and several of the gang attacked the house of Mr. Storer farmer Pentrich, about 1 o�clock on Tuesday morning June 10th with great violence and threatened to shoot John Storer if he did not come out with a gun and join them  that the Captain had already shot Mr Hepworths Man. [John Storer]

Was at Mr Wheatcrofts, Buckland Hollow hear Heage about 1 o�clock on Tuesday morning June 10th armed with a gun. [Samuel Levers] [Wm. Wheatcroft]

Was very active at Codnor informing the men on their arrival there. [Roger Wragg] [Thomas Jennings]

He met John Topham a special constable of Ripley on Tuesday morning about 4 o�clock  collar�d him presented a pistol to his head & threatened to blow his brains out for refusing to go with the gang that passed by Ripley. [J. Topham]

Was very violent at Mr George Raynors of Alder Carr Lane near Ripley Mile, who was standing at his door about 6 o�clock in the morning of Tuesday June 10th when about 400 men armed with guns, pikes, forks, and various other weapons halted upon the turnpike Road by Mr. Raynor�s house and a man dressed in a short blue velveteen coat, Wm.
